The David Chase in spacemans picture used to live in either Bishops or De Grey rd,
whichever the first one off Bagge rd is. (I think) :D
I do not want thanks for any research I am able to help out with. I just love doing it.

One thing I can tell you about Ms. Oliver was she used to smack the back of my hand with a ruler for not listening. When I got out of school I would continue smacking it to make it look red so when I got home I could tell my parents what she done, but it didn't work because my parents said, "I probably deserved it! " Funny how that's stuck in my mind after all these years.

Ms Oliver was my wife's only aunt, she would have been delighted to think that she is still remembered by some of her old pupils, even if it was only for dishing out mild corporal punishment.
Sadly she past away many years ago, 1975 I think.

I attended the school from about 1963, and I too remember Miss Stacey, not fondly, as she was not the nicest person. Miss Brown I remember, Mrs Hart and of course Mr Turner. I was surprised to see myself in Miss Browns retirement picture , I do remember the "fuss" made that day but could not remember the event. Glad to have that answered. I remember Teresa Aitchison (red hair) and Rosemary Thornton, Linda Plowright , Pauline Bone , Vera (?) as pupils at the school, if thay come acoross this I would love to hear from them or anyone from that era.
My brother would always stop at Mr Panks fro a sweet on the way home it was interesting to see the picture of him.
We all left to go the the "New" school ( up the road but can't remember the name, I do remember that we had access to an outside pool so swimming was part of PE.

Postby Dawn » 28 Feb 2011, 21:13

Anyone out there have any old school picture from Gaywood Primary or Gaywood Park. Someone posted a school picture and can't find it. Wendy Hall said she remembers me, but need her to contact me.

Does anyone remember a Mrs Twyman teaching at Gaywood Primary school in the 1950's? She was my grandmother. I have a very poor photocopy from my uncle of 12 teachers in a photo.

I hopefully have uploaded the photo of Mrs Twyman, my grandmother, and the staff at Gaywood school. She taught infants. Does anyone know any of the other teachers? I was born a Twyman and lived in King's Lynn until I was 3 years old but I came back every summer holiday to stay with my grandmother.
If the photo isn't attached can somone tell me how to do it.

You did it correctly margaretdimbylow, it appears as an attachment if it is a big file.
I then change it to a smaller one and a picture appears. Keep posting, we love
pictures of all types and subjects :D

I believe that this may be a picture of a Roseberry Avenue School Christmas Party about 1950.

I am sure from reading the above posts that there will be some members that are in the picture. The only possible suggested names that I have are - bottom right Robert Sutterby, behind him Linda Nicholls, 1st boy standing on right Chris Free(?) and Roy Fayers sitting in the centre of the picture
