According to White's Directory 1845 this union comprised the parishes
of:
Ashwicken, Babingley, Bawsey, West Bilney, Castle Acre, Castle
Rising, Congham, Flitcham with Appleton, Gayton & Gayton Thorpe,
Gaywood, Grimston, Harpley, Hillington, Leziate, Great & Little
Massingham, Middleton, Mintlyn, West Newton, Pentney, Roydon,
North Runcton, Sandringham, Setchey or Setch,
East Walton,
Westacre, East & West Winch, Wolverton and North & South
Wooton.
North Runcton also included the Hamlet of Hardwick.
Every person in this workhouse, staff included, were born in Norfolk.
Only adults were noted as paupers
