CALTHORPE ARCHDEACON'S TRANSCRIPT
Marriages

1703 - 1st July 1811 with gaps

Alphabetised in the surname of the Bride and the Groom
The first marriage is noted in 1703
The Archdeacon’s Transcripts for Calthorpe start in 1601
However, the years before 1696 are not included in this transcript and it should be noted that large gaps appear throughout
Large gaps 1703 - 1713; 1713 - 1731; 1731 - 1764
Note: The Calthorpe Registers were very poorly kept and the marriage register beginning 1754 is not extant. Therefore these At's from 1754 are most important.
The Bishop's Transcripts [ BT's ] are extant for the following years:
1698, 1705, 1715, 1722, 1724, 1728, 1734, 1746, 1752, 1759, 1762, 1769, 1776, 1783, 1790, 1793, 1800, 1805, 1812 & 1838 + (NRO)
