To Quote Admiral Lord Nelson: "OH MY BELOVED NORFOLK!"

That just about sums up the reason for this site, as I am a Sheringham born lass. My paternal ancestors were fishermen in that lovely parish going back to 1731 so far. History is really the people of the time, and we can admire their hardiness, compassion and skills, and through the old records see life through their eyes.

The aim of the site is to continue promoting Norfolk genealogy without commercial gain, as I have been doing for over 40 years. The many transcripts that I, and my many friends in this field, have prepared for decades will appear on this site.

Please be advised we all know our own work, and have been transcribing church and government records for years. No Harvesting please !!

A growing Surname index for each separate parish complete with PRO REF and folio/page numbers for the 1841 census is on site to aid the researcher.

This data is for PERSONAL USE ONLY.
